The news was confirmed after the Telegraph announced on Saturday that Mellon was planning on quitting the company she founded in 1996.
As all news sources noted, the high-level departures come just five months after luxury group Labelux acquired Jimmy Choo for a reported $850 million. Schulman told Footwear News that the decision to leave came after "conversations over time with Labelux management and shareholders," although there are no reports of ill will between the parties involved.
